Time Machine featuring Greg Nice - "The Unfortunate Twist"

There's always a silver lining, folks. The 21% drop in sales that hit hip-hop's nads (er, wallet) in 2007 was a pretty awful development, but maybe that opens up cracks for quality indie players to come up. Time Machine, for example, a group of three DJs from Rhode Island, has gone on tours with Common, the Beatnuts, and People Under the Stairs, and they've got something real solid here that hopefully will get the attention it deserves.

And it really does deserve that attention. The beat's nice enough, and the storytelling is so fast that director/animator David Whittle can barely keep up.
