Munk featuring James Murphy - "Kick Out the Chairs " Gomma's Munk may have made a bit of a mistake in choosing their name. In addition to sounding kind of stupid, the band shares its name with an American performer who sells his songs to network television shows, and while it's not hard to tell them apart sonically (one makes you feel like going clubbing with your snarkiest friends, and the other makes you feel like you're watching Alias), it could spell trouble for their album sales. But seriously, who is Munk? Is this a bizarrely well-kept Bobby Conn-fronted disco secret? Is this a throwaway project from DFA boss James Murphy?
