Los Campesinos! - "My Year in Lists" The Welsh smartypants indie band known as Los Campesinos! is trying to push your buttons. Its members share a last name, maintain their own zine, and their song titles are perfect lures for indiepop lovers and haters, but from here it seems like nothing more than an elaborate way to grab attention. Which, to us, is just fine. You've gotta do whatever's necessary to stand out enough to just get your music listened to, and the irrepressibly gleeful tunes the band's packing make the surrounding packaging delightfully irrelevant. |
