The title of Felix da Housecat's fourth album, He Was King, is a little misleading. First of all, it implies that Felix's best days are behind him. Second, if you line the title up with the artwork, a slightly harsh, candid-looking snapshot of Felix caught in the middle of something (A sentence? Chewing a piece of gum? Getting a blowjob in a closet?), you might get the impression that his royal status, now gone, disappeared suddenly. Third, and most ominous of all, it kind of suggests that this latest helping from Felix might be his last.
